Three Pomeranians, One Very Good Mascot, and a Whole Lot of Fluff
A charity grooming day at The Tetbury Pet Shop
Last month we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming three Pomeranians in from a local rescue shelter, along with the sanctuary's much-loved three-legged mascot dog, for a full spa day in the Groom Room.
Matted coats, tangles, and a fair bit of "we're not sure what's under all this fur" - a day donated by our groomers Jordan and Daisy (thank you for your kindness ladies).

Bath time begins — soap, suds and a lot of patience.
Rescue dogs often arrive with coats that have been left a little longer than they should, and our job is to turn that around gently, at their pace, with nothing but kind, natural products. No rushing, no stress — just a proper pamper.

Somewhere between soggy and spectacular.
"Watching a matted, unsure little dog turn into a fluffy, confident one over the course of an afternoon never gets old. We wish we could rescue the coats of rescue dogs everyday." - Jordan

And just like that — three very glamorous Poms, ready for their close-up.
And then there's Aura's mascot
The sanctuary's resident dog came along for the full works too:

Three legs, full commitment to the bath.

Drying off and clearly loving the camera.
Our Head Groomer Jordan spent some quality time getting to know our new fluffy friend — the mascot even offered up a paw for a proper hello.

Time for the manicure - nail trim from Jordan!
A big thank you
A huge thank you to the wonderful ladies who runs the shelter for trusting us with her dogs for the day, and for everything they do for rescue dogs like these.

One of the ladies behind it all, with three very happy - and very clean, Pomeranians.
Days like this are exactly why we love what we do. A groom might seem like a small thing, but for a rescue dog, feeling comfortable in their own coat again can make a huge difference to how settled and loved they feel while they wait for their forever home.
A huuuuge thank you to Jordan and Daisy for donating their time to helping groom these 4 very deserving dogs.

FAQs
How often should a Pomeranian be groomed? Pomeranians have a thick double coat that mats easily, so most need professional grooming every 4–6 weeks, with daily brushing at home in between.
Do you groom rescue dogs? Yes — we regularly work with local rescue shelters and are always happy to discuss how we can help, including free or discounted grooms where we can.
Where is The Tetbury Pet Shop & Grooming based? We're on Long Street in Tetbury, serving dog owners across the Cotswolds.
